The Wedding Show season is back!

Hello!

February is definitely the beginning of the wedding calendar here in the UK, and especially in London. Last week, the UK Wedding Show took place at the ExCel Centre and we were there to see and tell you everything about it. But we’ll come back to that a little later.

This week, the most luxurious wedding fair, the Designer Wedding Show is happening right up town, in Sloane Square, Battersea Park to be more precise, and Hudson’s has a stand there, promoting the new edition of the Dream Weddings book.

We were there first hand yesterday and it’s absolutely bride-paradise! New trends, gorgeous dresses, lovely satin shoes, the most beautiful tiaras and jewllery sets. Not to mention tons of choices for oh-so-delicious cakes (we tried some!), honeymoon destinations, stationery, flowers and decorations. All at the utmost elegance you deserve!

The Designer Wedding Show is also taking place today and tomorrow, from 10am to 5pm, so you still have a chance to check it out. You can book tickets here or buy them at the venue. And there’s also a complimentary bus taking visitors from the the Sloane Square Hotel (right next to the tube station) to the show venue, every ten minutes.

You won’t miss this right?

The Wedding Planner is back!

Hello to all the lovely brides and wedding enthusiasts!

Before the wedding show season madness starts, let’s pick up where we left off with our planner, shall we? Last time we discussed decisions to be made six months before the big day.

So we want to make sure you get all the great tips and suggestions. Let’s start with decorations and flowers:

Brides.com is a big portal with very nice sections on both;

Wedding Delights is the ultimate DIY in terms of decorations, invitations and party favours;

The Home and Family Network has lots arrangements that will certainly inspire you, such as this one on the left. I just love this butterfly!

The important thing is to think ahead, so that the flowers you want will be available during the season in which your ceremony will be held, therefore, making it easier to match the decorations.

You don’t need a specialist to handle arrangements and bouquets for you, it’s just a matter of research, creativity and more people thinking together.

Get your bridesmaids and family to give you suggestions, why not? As long as the final decision comes from you, the more ideas they give you, the closer you get from having it the perfect way. Sometimes, it’s easy to picture a perfect wedding, but you don’t really focus on the details, do you?

So, now it’s the time! Good luck!
