This week, the world has lost a great actor and dancer. Patrick Swayze has died on Monday (14) of cancer at age 57. I thought it would be nice to honour him by showing this video of a wedding dance – but not just any wedding dance! The couple recreates Dirty Dancing’s last scene, when Johnny (played by Patrick) refuses to step aside during an event and brings Baby (Jennifer Grey) to the stage with him, for a last dance.
This video has become a YouTube phenomenon, with over 6 million views and it’s a real inspiration for romantic couples.
Bride and groom, the American photographer Julia Boggio e British filmmaker James Derbyshire decided to choose the dance because they’re both big movie fans. Because of the video, Julia even met (and danced with!) Patrick Swayze in 2007.
